The DBC Biennial Auction Night October 10 was a smashing success. We had a stellar lineup of 60+ items, including two scopes, a pair of bins, fantastic artwork, beautiful handmade bird boxes, cool gift baskets, exciting field adventures, and so much more. The local businesses, publications, and birding community donors came through this year again, and a great many items were donated by our members, which makes them even more special. The Birding Bazaar of gently used items was once again popular and let everyone go home with a found treasure in tow.
The auction proceeds and dues fund DBC business operations, including speakers, grants and donations, outreach, and other programs. A big shoutout to our volunteers—all 21 of them—and to our generous bidders for making our major fundraiser a night to remember.
