The DBC Board has been looking for ways to serve the membership in the absence of our regular meetings and field trips, all postponed due to the Covid-19 quarantine. To that end, we are pleased to launch the DuPage Birding Club YouTube Channel to deliver relevant video content.
Our goal is to provide a way to connect with you and enrich your birding experience. We’re tapping the expertise of DBC President Denis Kania, who will record a range of mini-tutorials to provide bird identification strategies for challenging birds, tips for using our checklist, understanding parts of a bird, and more. The first mini-tutorial is already live and focuses on separating Louisiana and Northern Waterthrushes, a mini-tutorial Denis shared last spring at a club meeting. Next up: a look at early-arriving small flycatchers and then a drilldown on bird topography to help you analyze what you see when you look at a bird. And more fascinating topics will follow. This is timely content as migration gets underway!
