September 1 marks the beginning of the season for hawkwatchers atop the Scenic Overlook at Greene Valley Forest Preserve. The “Hill” is open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through the end of October. The all-volunteer Hawkwatch team monitors migration daily September through November.
