October 14 is the annual World Migratory Bird Day and part of the Global Bird Weekend. eBird is sponsoring an October Big Day to unite us around the world in our shared love of birds. To participate, you must first have an eBird account and then you simply upload your checklists with your sightings. Last October, nearly 35,000 people from 185 countries submitted almost 80,000 checklists. Take a few minutes to demonstrate the power of birds to bring people together! The DBC will be supporting this special day through a presence with BCN at the Kankakee World Migratory Bird Day Festival.
