The annual Gull Frolic at North Point Marina was a sold-out success in its 22nd year. Sponsored by Illinois Ornithological Society (IOS), the event featured lots of camaraderie with
birding friends old and new, delicious food, and birds! Highlights included Iceland Gull, Ring-billed and Herring Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Horned Grebe, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, and Red-breasted Merganser.
DBC sponsored this event and hosted a table staffed by President Robert Perez and Board member Pamela Martyn-Nemeth. DBC members were well represented at this event, with a dozen or more people, including Urs Geiser, Jane Barnett, and Bob Fisher featured in our photo.
