Calling all volunteers—the Club would like to acknowledge your efforts at a luncheon on Saturday, October 7, at Hidden Lake Forest Preserve. The event is open to anyone who has volunteered in any capacity over the past year. This includes board members, committee members, field trip leaders, outreach volunteers, newsletter and website contributors, and any others who have helped out.
The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a bird walk to explore the new bridge installation and look for migrants and resident birds, followed by a luncheon at 11:30. Note: should there be inclement weather, we will still host the luncheon at 11:30. We will meet at the shelter which is located on the north end of the preserve (turn left upon entering and go to the end).
The DBC appreciates everything our volunteers do to make our birding organization one of the best in Illinois! If you are able to attend, please RSVP at dupagebirdingclub@gmail.com so we can get a rough estimate of how much food to bring. This is a great time to socialize with fellow members, so mark your calendar now.
