The public is invited to join members of the DuPage Birding Club on October 9 for an auction and fundraiser at the DuPage County Historical Museum, 102 E. Wesley, Wheaton, IL. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with a cash bar and time to browse the live auction and the museum. The live auction begins at 7:15 p.m.
To attend the event, register here:
https://www.eventbrite.com/d/il--barrington/dupage-birding-club/. Parking is available on the street and at a nearby parking garage 1 ½ blocks west of the museum.
The club will auction more than 60 bird- and nature-related items donated by members, local merchants, and national conservation organizations, including birding optics, “experiences” to explore regional birding hotspots with expert birders, bird feeders and houses, subscriptions and memberships, original artwork, unique antique items, and “birdy” gift baskets. In addition, the event hosts a raffle with choice prizes and the “Birders’ Bazaar,” tables of $3, $5, $10, and $20 gently used (and sometimes new) items, including books, home décor, collectibles, and more.
The DBC auction is treasure hunting at its best! Proceeds fund club operations and its generous Grants and Donations program, which targets bird-related conservation projects. We hope to see you there!
